12 Multitudes is a bold new musical adventure, the partner album to James Hill’s forthcoming solo record 12 Solitudes. But where 12 Solitudes explores the voice of the ukulele in isolation, 12 Multitudes brings together players from around the world to form a rich, resonant ensemble.

Imagine the sweeping textures of Penguin Cafe Orchestra meeting the ambient beauty of Brian Eno, all on ukulele.

Over the course of 12 months, James Hill and the Uke Heads community will co-create a 12-track instrumental album that is lush, melodic, and evocative. With parts written for all skill levels, beginner to advanced, 12 Multitudes welcomes everyone to contribute their sound and spirit.
