Overture
The opening track. Written using just the notes of the open strings: G, C, E, A. That's it. Our job is to make those four notes sound like music. The overture sets the tone for the rest of the album, musically and conceptually.

Sketches of Madeira
Without the tiny island of Madeira, there is no ukulele. I was there recently and fell in love with the place. So much history, beauty, warmth and culture. Here's a musical sketch of what I felt there. From Madeira, with love.

Even Thunder Falls Apart
There's something heavy about the second fret. It hits hard. There's a kind of swagger to second-fret melodies... and yet, they're fragile. In the end, even thunder falls apart.

No No No
Making the most of the bluesy sound of the third fret (yep, we're only using notes on the third fret plus the open strings). It's short but it rocks! Warning: face-melting ukulele solo at 1:20. This is the most fun you can have on the third fret.
